Problem/Goal

Gbawo Media recognised the need to expand its online presence through a blog platform. Their goal was to create a digital hub that would curate and showcase authentic Nigerian content, enriching the online landscape with compelling stories and cultural insights. Their primary problem lay in translating this vision into a functional website that would engage audiences and foster a community.

Solution Offered

Engaging Astract9 for a six-month contract, Gbawo Media entrusted us with the pivotal role of website development, maintenance, and technical support. Leveraging our expertise in digital solutions like web development, Astract9 embarked on a journey to bring the client’s vision to life.

One of the strategies that helped with the actualisation of the project was ensuring constant communication between our project manager, the web development team, and the client via Slack, emails and phone calls. We updated the client regularly and monitored the developers to ensure that this project was completed at its stated time.

Results

The collaborative efforts between Gbawo Media and Astract9 culminated in the successful launch of the blog platform. Currently, the Gbawo Media platform has hundreds of articles, games, photographs, and features showcasing Nigerian talents, stories, culture and tips. The website also helped our client generate more awareness among local and international audiences.

Challenges

The challenges encountered during this project with Gbawo Media were typical of digital endeavours, including occasional lapses in communication with the client and developers, network disruptions, and the constraints of a tight timeline.
