ChampsPlay is a mobile gaming hub offering users a rich tapestry of classic and contemporary games. Problem/Goal

ChampsPlay collaborated with Astract9 for Website and Mobile App Design and Development to bring classic and contemporary games to users’ fingertips. They sought to revolutionise the gaming landscape by providing users with a seamless platform to indulge in their favourite games while earning rewards. Their goal was to develop a website and mobile app that would elevate the gaming experience and drive user engagement.

Solution Offered

Astract9 was contracted to handle the design and development of ChampsPlay’s website and mobile app. For the product design, Astract9 created high-fidelity mockups and user interface designs that would captivate users and enhance their gaming journey.

For the website and app development, we:

• Created a website for users to come in and register for the waitlist; this was used using React (Frontend) and Laravel (Backend)
• Added a payment platform that allowed users to credit their coin wallet
• Added an option for users to withdraw their money, which represents coin in the game
• Users can either play with coins or tokens. Tokens can be acquired by watching adverts and winning games.

Results and Benefits

The collaborative efforts between Astract9 and ChampsPlay resulted in the following:

• Creation of a waitlist to inform the target audience about the launch of the app
• Successful launch of a functional mobile app and website.
• Seamless design that boosts user experience and engagement
• Achievement of the primary goal: providing users with a platform where they can immerse themselves in a world of gaming excitement while also providing opportunities to earn money.

Challenges

The design process for ChampsPlay was remarkably smooth, with clear communication and well-defined deliverables ensuring a seamless workflow. Despite being our first gaming project, our team was able to harness their skills to meet the client’s expectations.

Lessons Learnt

This project was an eye-opener for us because this was our first time designing a game for a client. It affirmed to us that we can handle any project. We discovered new approaches and new tools, and we are better at handling similar projects.
